Origins

In 2006, an independent software development freelancing effort began which soon became something more. Big Hill Software LLC (BHS) was formally incorporated in 2009. Fueled by the rise of mobile technology and security-related engagements, BHS’ operations eventually evolved into offensive security -related work, including security research, security-related software development, bug bounty hunting, and red team operations.

The Road Behind

Along the way, BHS has served customers across industries: hospitality, restaurant, insurance, medical, automotive, education, energy, etc. BHS has worked with and developed a wide breadth of technologies: mobile apps, file system drivers, multi-tier architectures, numerous database technologies, real-time video streaming, biometrics, various authentication / authorization approaches, etc. Whatever was required, BHS tackled it.

The Road Ahead

As the new major technology shift of artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged, BHS has kept pace, and rebranded in 2025 to Big Hill Tech, LLC (BHT), to reflect a wider range of operations, BHT still specializes in security research, adversarial analysis, and software development, and now AI. Every day, the technology and security landscape changes. Driven by curiosity, a desire for knowledge, and enjoyment of security and technology, BHT continues to adapt and master the domains required to further perfect its craft.
